We are accepting FALL CLOTHING!
We know it sounds crazy but we are taking "Back to School" now! Many people are shopping from out of town (HersheyPark brings many regular "tourist" who shop in our stores) and they buy "Back to School" items! We will accept Khaki, black and "Fall-like" colors in capri's and shorts. Sandals that are brown and black and "Fall-Like"...please hold on to your "bright-lighter-weight" clothing in "Summer-Like" prints. Please hold on to your "heavy-winter-weight-wools and heavier fabrics" until September.

Update for our "Fall Acceptance Season":
We will only be accepting your higher end and/or name brand items! We will not be looking at any items that are older than one to two years. (no matter how classic they are) Many styles just do not sell in our stores so we will be very selective...even much more than usual. Our shoppers are very "picky"...so we need to be as well!
To expedite the screening process, please screen your items very carefully prior to coming in. Please DO NOT bring in anything that is older or has been stored. All items need to be freshly laundered or dry cleaned. Fabrics discolor when stored even if they were never worn or put away in plastic once dry cleaned. PLEASE look at such items in extremely bright lights BEFORE bringing them in. This not only helps us out...but you as well. It will save you time and money by not hauling in items that we will not accept. We are not a thrift store that accepts just anything. We appeal to those who love higher end clothing, who love recycling, who want only the top fashions, and a great deal! We pride ourselves in having the best of the best!

FYI...As of January 1, 2010, we will provide tax receipts for any unsold items that are donated in 2010. Request tax receipt January 1 through April 15, 2011, for 2010 donations. There is no need to reclaim unsold items just to donate them. We donate to many local non-profit organizations.

All Items must arrive in ready to sell condition, on hangers and extremely fresh! You receive 40% of the asking price. Our acceptance is based on what sells best and how neatly it is presented. Our consignment period is 60 days. Your expiration date is given to you at time of consignment. We consign 5 days a week...Monday,Tuesday, Friday & Sat 10-2 and Thursdays 12-6!

You may pick up cash any time during store hours, or you may request that a check be sent for a $2.00 fee. Cash payouts are available at the desk for 6 months, after which, checks will be sent upon request. Updated proper identification is requested prior to paying out accounts.

Expired merchandise becomes property of WLN, inc. and may be sold at this location or another location owned by WLN, inc. or donated. If you wish to reclaim your items, you may do so during designated times determined by management. If you choose to pull your own items off the floor…you must first present your yellow slip that is given to you at time of consignment and a list will be provided. Wears Like New, inc. donates to a variety of different charities and organizations. Thus, we reserve the right to also donate this merchandise to fabric recycling companies, needy families and may be sold with proceeds benefiting Wears Like New, inc. A buyer's fee, which is determined by Wears Like New, is applied to the asking price. The purchasing customer, not the consignor, pays for this fee. Wears Like New, Inc. has the right to: 1) price items to facilitate its sale. 2) make changes to the policy. It is your responsibility to check our website or pickup any updated information for any changes that may occur. WLN, Inc. will not assume responsibility due to theft, fire or damage that is beyond our control.

- We accept ready to sell stylish merchandise only!
- We do not sell items that are older than two years old.

Our acceptance is based on what sells best! 
We do not carry items (even if they are in great shape) if they are not good sellers. If your items are great sellers…they still need to be in excellent condition or they will be returned! Screen your items as if you were going to purchase them yourself!

1. Make contact with Lauri!
Via email is always best ...wearslikenew@aol.com ...if you do not have access to the internet...leave a voice mail at her office 717-533-1130. Again, email is best!!!
2. Arrange a time to come in!
Lauri (or specific person assigned to your account) will be there to look after you!
FYI...you will be "first" asked to bring in your best "10 outfits". During that first visit, arrangements will be made for your one trip with remaining items. Most likely you can come in the next day or soon after depending on time frames, schedules, etc. NOTE: This first step is extremely important for both parties. It saves time, money, confusion, frustration, etc. Other points discussed will be: on hangers or not? summer or winter or both? about how many? is it OK to donate the "no thank-you's" that we can't use to local charities? do you want a tax deduction? do you want your hangers back? if so, when will you be back for them? etc.
3. Check will be sent!
If you prefer cash, that can be arranged, too. These are some options that will be discussed during your first visit. We can even send a check made out to an Estate if that helps! We can be flexible!

Clean out your closets and bring us your best! Prepare your clothing as if you were going to purchase it yourself! Please bring your items in on hangers. It allows our consigning process to run much more efficiently. You will get your hangers back!
